Education

Key Biscayne is served by the Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS). Public schools include the Key Biscayne K-8 Center, Coral Gables Senior High School and the MAST Academy, a magnet school focused on marine and science technology for grades 9-12. Private education is offered by St. Christopher's By-the-Sea Montessori School and the St. Agnes Academy. Higher education is provided by University of Miami, Ross University, Florida International University (FIU), University of South Florida and City College-Miami, to name a few.

Local Events

Annual events include the annual Key Biscayne Regatta, where several dozen boats meet at the sandbar for a day of fun, and the annual Key Biscayne Art Festival featuring sculptures, paintings, jewelry, photography, ceramics, and more. Key Biscayne is home to the Tennis Center at Crandon Park and the Sony Ericsson Open Tennis Tournament, while the All-Island Tennis Tournament is held in May.
